Blue Lace Agate from Nsanje district, Malawi — a prized variety of microcrystalline quartz chalcedony distinguished by soft sky-blue hues, delicate white lacy patterning, and drusy crystalline centres. The characteristic blue colouration results from trace amounts of copper, manganese, and iron deposited in fine alternating layers within the chalcedony. These nodules formed in cavities within volcanic basalt, where silica-rich fluids crystallised over time to produce the intricate banding and open drusy vugs visible in each piece. Mixed grade lot with variation in vug size, colour saturation, and chalcedony development across the 10 pieces.
