A geometrically striking single from the Ngabu deposit with a rare triangular fortification banding system — concentric triangles stack inward with remarkable precision, from deep burgundy-red outer bands through vivid sard-red and carnelian-orange mid-zones to a warm amber-orange inner band, converging on a small, smooth blue-grey chalcedony centre. A delicate lavender-white border frames the outer edge of the face. The triangular geometry of the banding mirrors the broader triangular form of the nodule itself. Ghost banding adds quiet depth in the outer zone. Directly sourced from Ngabu, Malawi and hand-polished by us in South Africa.

Each Malawi agate specimen is a natural stone formed over millions of years. These Ngabu candy agates are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi’s Nsanje district. This collector-grade polished agate may show minor surface marks or internal features as part of its natural formation and unique character. Any notable characteristics are clearly visible in the images.

You will receive the exact item shown in the photos. All photographs are captured in natural light without filters or digital enhancement to show the true character of the stone.

Please take note of the measurements and view all photos carefully before purchasing.
