Malawi Agate – 46 mm | Drusy Vug & Ghost Banding

A Ngabu specimen with an unusually elongated, horizontally oriented drusy vug running across the centre of the face, framed on both sides by a thin orange band. Broad, deeply wavy fortification bands in warm sard-brown and amber-orange wrap around the inner zone above and below, with scalloped edges where they meet it. A small open vug sits at the lower-right margin. The upper portion transitions to a cool blue-grey chalcedony zone. Ghost banding is present throughout. Directly sourced from Ngabu, Malawi and hand-polished by us in South Africa.

Each Malawi agate specimen is a natural stone formed over millions of years. These Ngabu candy agates are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi's Nsanje district. This collector-grade polished agate may show minor surface marks or internal features as part of its natural formation and unique character. Any notable characteristics are clearly visible in the images.
