A structurally distinctive single from the Ngabu deposit with an unusually elongated, horizontally oriented inner zone filled with druzy quartz — a wide, open cavity-like form running across the centre of the face, framed on both sides by a vivid thin orange band. Broad, deeply wavy fortification bands in warm sard-brown and amber-orange wrap around the inner zone above and below, their edges scalloped where they meet it. A small open vug sits at the lower-right margin of the inner zone. The upper portion of the face transitions to a cool blue-grey chalcedony zone, creating a warm-cool contrast across the composition. Ghost banding adds translucent depth throughout. Directly sourced from Ngabu, Malawi and hand-polished by us in South Africa.

Each Malawi agate specimen is a natural stone formed over millions of years. These Ngabu candy agates are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi's Nsanje district. This collector-grade polished agate may show minor surface marks or internal features as part of its natural formation and unique character. Any notable characteristics are clearly visible in the images.
You will receive the exact item shown in the photos. All photographs are captured in natural light without filters or digital enhancement to show the true character of the stone.
Please take note of the measurements and view all photos carefully before purchasing.
