A Ngabu specimen defined by its banding. Tight fortification bands in deep sard-red build outward through alternating cream-white layers — the band count unusually high, the spacing remarkably even. The inner core forms a clear dome or arch structure, with distinctly scalloped band edges throughout. Faint shadow banding runs between the main bands, adding depth to an already dense interior. Directly sourced from Ngabu, Malawi and hand-polished by us in South Africa.

Each Malawi agate specimen is a natural stone formed over millions of years. These Ngabu candy agates are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi's Nsanje district. This collector-grade polished agate may show minor surface marks or internal features as part of its natural formation and unique character. Any notable characteristics are clearly visible in the images.
You will receive the exact item shown in the photos. All photographs are captured in natural light without filters or digital enhancement to show the true character of the stone.
Please take note of the measurements and view all photos carefully before purchasing.
