Natural Hand-Polished Malawi Agate – 37 mm | Fortification and ghost banding, floater
Natural Hand-Polished Malawi Agate – 37 mm | Fortification and ghost banding, floater
Sold
A world-class single from the Ngabu deposit and one of the most colour-rich specimens in the Elemental Treasure catalogue. The face displays a complete, perfectly concentric fortification banding system spanning seven distinct colour zones — deep blue-grey outer border through navy, lavender-purple, white, golden-yellow and orange to a sard-red centre — an inverse colour progression rare in Ngabu material. The centrepiece is an extraordinary rectangular floater suspended in the lavender inner zone: a fully self-contained banded inclusion with its own sard-red and white banding, completely detached from the outer system. Ghost banding and high translucency add further depth. A true investment-grade specimen. Directly sourced from Ngabu, Malawi and hand-polished by us in South Africa.

Each Malawi agate specimen is a natural stone formed over millions of years. These Ngabu candy agates are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi’s Nsanje district. This collector-grade polished agate may show minor surface marks or internal features as part of its natural formation and unique character. Any notable characteristics are clearly visible in the images.
You will receive the exact item shown in the photos. All photographs are captured in natural light without filters or digital enhancement to show the true character of the stone.
Please take note of the measurements and view all photos carefully before purchasing.
