These Malawi agate nodules are weathered from Jurassic basalts of the Karoo supergroup in southern Malawi's Nsanje district. When cut and polished, Malawi rough agate reveals colorful banding in oranges, yellow, pink, red, blue, purple and cream. They often display striking fortification bands, translucent chalcedony zones, and occasional mossy or plume-like inclusions.

As with any rough agate for lapidary, each specimen is unique. There are no guarantees that every specimen turns out to be a spectacular, collector-quality piece, however we do our best to discard any obvious poor quality material (though most nodules are completely closed).

Shipping: Dispatched from South Africa. Estimated delivery is 7–10 working days depending on destination and customs clearance. International buyers should be aware that import taxes or VAT may apply.

Care & Handling: Handle with care as rough nodules may have sharp edges. Suitable for cutting, polishing, and lapidary work.
